PADI Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI)

1. Must be a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor/PADI Instructor, or have completed a full IDC/IOC within the last 12 months.

2. Have successfully completed an EFR course.

PADI Course Directors in teaching status who are also PADI EFR Instructor Trainers can conduct PADI EFR Instructor courses. The EFR Instructor course trains candidates to deliver the seven-module EFR course. These modules cover the following seven core skills: initial assessment, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, obstructed airway management, hemorrhage control, shock management, disease assessment, and injury assessment.

Upon successful completion of the EFR Instructor course, the EFR Instructor candidate submits a fully completed application form, signed by the PADI Course Director who conducted the course, along with the required passport-sized photograph and the application fee, to their PADI Office.
