PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers are PADI Instructors who have earned at least 5 PADI Specialty Instructor Certificates.

(PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy and Project AWARE Specialty Instructor Brevets are not counted for this status).

To qualify for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer level, an instructor must:

1. Be a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor with a current renewal of your PADI membership

2. Be certified as a PADI Specialty Instructor in at least 5 specialist areas

3. Have at least 25 divers certified as PADI divers

In order to have this status recognized, a corresponding application with a photo must be submitted to PADI. PADI will then issue the Master Scuba Diver Trainer license upon receipt of the appropriate fees.
